If you have been working on memorizing and saying your verses to your small group leader, come see the Vault this Sunday! It is filled with prizes worth 4, 8 and 12 verses. If you need a memory booklet, ask at the registration table or get one from your small group leader. The Vault will open regularly once a month so keep learning your memory verses!

The 2009-2010 Crosswalk Year has begun!

We are continuing the Crosswalk program where we left off in our walk through the Bible last spring.

On Sunday, September 20, we heard about the Parable of the Two Sons. The father in this parable welcomes back his wayward son who has been gone and then returns home, hoping to at least be treated as well as his father’s servants. The son is surprised when his father not only forgives him and welcomes him home, but gives him new clothes and throws him a party to celebrate his return! God is our welcoming Father. He is always welcoming to take us back and forgive us for we are his children and he loves each of his children very much!

Sunday, September 27th we talked about the Widow’s Small Gift. Jesus finds a woman who, even though she gives the smallest coins, she gives the greatest gift because it was everything she had. The memory verse this week is Matthew 10:8 “Freely you have received, freely give.”

Sunday, October 4th we had a special guest speaker, Clayton Dougan, come to speak to us about what it means to be saved!

See you in Crosswalk!

See You Next Year!

Looking back on the 2007-2008 year at Crosswalk we are so thankful! We've had so many fun, memorable moments this year. It's been such a blessing to build relationships with each of the children who have been a part. We recognize and thank all our volunteers for their time, commitment, and service to the Lord through the Crosswalk ministry. Praise the Lord for His provision.

We are excited for Crosswalk starting up next September--We plan to do a Walk through the Bible and are excited about that. If you have any feedback about this year, questions about next year, or are interested in volunteering with Crosswalk, please give us an email at: crosswalkcoordinators@hotmail.com

To all our grade 5's who have left us this year for MSM: We will miss you! Please come back and visit us soon :)
To all our Kindergarten-ers and everyone else who will be coming into Crosswalk next year: Welcome! We look forward to seeing you all next September.

Until then, enjoy your summer break and have fun in Summer Sunday School!

Currently at Crosswalk

Currently at Crosswalk...

... we have been encouraged by the enthusiasm of both the kids and the volunteers. It is fantastic to see relationships developing between the kids and the teens and adults they come in contact with through all the stations, worship, and small group leaders.

... we are so thankful for the creativity, flexibility, and focus on the Lord that we see in all the volunteers.

... we have just finished our in-depth study of the book of Acts and the Lord's work in the early church. For the remaining weeks of Crosswalk (up to and including June 29th) we will be walking through the life of Moses together and discovering how the Lord worked there!

Reminder: Sunday, May 18 is a Kids in Service Sunday.

Sunday, February 10, 2008

It was great to see both familiar and new faces at Lambrick's Skate Night. Thanks to all who came and to those who helped make it happen!

During the month of February we will continue to study the book of Acts and our Lord's early church.

In Crosswalk 1-5, we continue to fundraise in order to provide for our new sponsor child Alemtsehay, who lives in Belo, Ethiopia. Thanks to all the kids and to everyone who participated in the candygram fundraiser last Sunday. We have almost raised enough to support Alemtsehay for the whole year! Candy grams will also be sold after the service this Sunday, February 10 for $1 each. We encourage you to take this opportunity to reach out and support Alemtsehay. 100% of the proceeds go directly to supporting her.

God bless, The Crosswalk Team
